WATER III Data is here!
Come by the PROCEPT BioRobotics® booth E36 to learn more about the highly anticipated WATER III, investigator-led trial—comparing Aquablation® therapy vs. Transurethral laser enucleation for large prostates—that was unveiled at EAU 2025’s Game Changer session.
This international multicenter study showed Aquablation therapy delivers:
• Similar symptom score reduction to laser enucleation
• Significantly lower rates of ejaculatory dysfunction (14.8% vs 77.1%)
• Significantly lower stress incontinence (0% vs 9.1%)

Whilst PROMS score summaries are important, and shown in the PROTECT NEJM QoL paper, these data present the very significant side effects from radical therapy in a manner that is more easily understood by patients (and me).
Heart breaking reading this. I've never personally known so many doctors take time off openly due to burn out. It's great that we are finally talking about it more as a profession, but what are we actually doing about it?
