I’m no @UKLabour fan, but I think the removal of @Keir_Starmer would be a huge mistake.
Changing and removing a PM over a mid-term slump isn’t the way forward.
This reaction feeds the right-wing and strengthens their call for a general election… which would be catastrophic.
A statement from Cardiff Council on the issues with postal ballots:
A council spokesperson said:
“The Council has issued almost 47,000 postal vote packs in recent weeks and, to date, more than 26,500 have already been returned.
“Following reports from some voters that they hadn’t yet received their postal vote packs, we have been working urgently to investigate the issue and have identified that the affected packs relate to a supplementary print run for the Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf and Caerdydd Penarth constituencies.
“We have received assurances from our print provider, Civica, that the relevant data was received correctly from the Council and that the packs were printed and dispatched to Royal Mail, who continue to investigate.
“In response to enquiries from individual voters, we have already reissued a number of postal vote packs. Replacement packs will be hand delivered to the remaining affected households on Tuesday 5 May, with a small number reissued by priority mail.
“Voters who receive a replacement pack can complete it and either return it to our staff at the time of delivery, hand it in at any polling station before 10pm on Thursday, or deliver it to County Hall before 10pm on polling day.
“We regret any inconvenience experienced and are focused on ensuring all those affected are able to vote.”
@British_Airways No, but if there’s space it should happen. Your other One World partners offer it… why doesn’t BA?
I counted 10 spare seats in premium - and at least 3 in business before I got asked to move.
Carnage on @British_Airways flight to Newark today.
Empty seats in premium and business, but refusing status upgrades (charging £420 for economy to premium) - free bin space in premium and business; whilst economy full.
And now making harder to get status 🤯
@KLM would never.
Oh lovely, another thing to store somewhere in the house @cardiffcouncil
And love that you’re telling us this exciting news a week before implementation 🙃
I’d argue the party now is much closer to the small minded, illiberal party it was under IDS and Howard. Although not dissimilar from Reform… just less populist 🤷🏻♂️
It’s funny that @LauraJ4SWEast has said that the Tories are unrecognisable from the party she joined 30 years ago.
30 years ago the party was about to be absolutely destroyed and smashed into oblivion for 14 years, before undergoing a liberal progressive reform.
Starmer is closing down our schools at Easter. No doubt to stop our kids being taught about Christianity.
He did this at Christmas too.
Yet they remain open during Ramadan.
This has to stop.
It makes me sad the mess universities are in, but it’s been a long time coming.
There’s so much waste and mismanagement. Imagine going through a reorganisation and creating a new directorate at a cost of £2m+ a year… and it being primarily internal focused 🫠
Last day in work.
Even though we’re a university going through massive financial difficulties (who isn’t), and restructuring the whole university, an extra day of Christmas closure was too much for them.
So instead we’re heating a university for skeleton staff.
Whilst @UKLabour are proposing cutting councils in England, they could also save a lot of money by scrapping the useless Police and Crime Commissioners and their bloated offices.
Reinvesting that money back into Policing and the @MoJGovUK
