For those that haven't heard, my brother @RUCoachJW was in a devastating car accident in the early morning on Sunday involving a wrong-way drunk driver. It is a miracle that he survived, and we are praising God for it ✝️
This false narrative has gotten old and desperate. Texans aren’t buying it. Our educators are our family, friends, neighbors, and fellow parishioners. They are the hearts of our communities and they deserve so much better from our state leadership.
My notifications have been in overdrive today with so many of you drooling over photos of the long-dead; so I thought I'd bring 4 "historical hotties" together for you to fight over. Cast your votes below! Photos 1, 2 & 4 were taken in 1918, the 3rd photo is from 1925.
Reminder that the TEA has been under GOP control for what 25 years? The agenda schools push is the agenda set forth by the state government...fund our public schools and equip our public schools teachers w/the tools necessary to equip ALL children to be productive citizens
It is divisive to call for peace without working for justice.
It is uncivilized to ask for civility while prospering from and perpetuating systemic violence.
“True peace,” my father said, “is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”
#NoJusticeNoPeace
Enslavers defended slavery by claiming it was a “positive good” for Black people. Today Florida’s Board of Education approved new Black history standards that note enslaved Black people developed skills that “could be applied for their personal benefit.”

My father didn’t pass away.
He was assassinated.
A 1967 poll reflected that he was one of the most hated men in America.
Most hated.
Many who quote one #MLK line, tweet egregious AI photos of him, and evoke him to deter justice actually despise #TheInconvenientKing.
I agree with @GovAbbott. There’s more work to do:
1. TX is 49th in teacher retirement benefits.
2. TX is 42nd in public education funding.
3. TX is 43rd in teacher pay
4. TX is 2nd in school shootings.
