Yes. Exactly. My husband and I discuss this after the Vigil sometimes. There are always 6 EMs (usually all women) at our Vigil Mass, which in our opinion are not needed because this Mass is not full.
We always sit where we know the Priest will be distributing Holy Communnion.
When we travel and go to an unfamiliar Church I am not shy about asking which side the Priest distributes. It may seem silly but we avoid EMs.
