The last day of school is a great day for a leadership project right? Our 3rd graders decided they wanted to give back to our amazing @FrayserTigers staff by cleaning, organizing, and redecorating the staff work room. They worked SO hard all day. I am so proud of these leaders!

I think our 3rd graders are going to love their end of the year gift this year! I don’t understand the obsession with these, but our kids are big fans. I’m so proud of our @FrayserTigers for pushing through to the end of a very challenging year! They deserve all the fun things!💚

Four more leaders met their academic WIGs this week! So proud of these @FrayserTigers for making more than a year’s worth of growth in their text reading levels this year, even with all of the craziness they have had to deal with. 💚🐯💚

One of my 3rd graders today while I was listening to her read: “‘Bella was excited. Today was a special day. It was February 15th, her birthday.’ Ohhh, I didn’t know Bella was an Aquarius!”

My kids started the day a little squirrely, so I busted out the flashlights for the first time this year. One of the most reliable teaching tricks I have up my sleeve. 😅😂🔦 Unexpected bonus: it really helped one of my kids with 1 to 1 correspondence during guided reading. 🤗

Today one of my kids told me that when she turns her light green it means that she agrees with what is being said and when it’s red it means she disagrees with what is being said. I love how she created her own little system for nonverbal responses. 😂 @FrayserTigers

@AllisonScoggin Pre-covid they would play a reading/math game with a buddy. Now I let them do an activity on their iPad. There are times that we have to move on, but I will always give extra time individually if they ask for it. I don’t want to send the message that I don’t think they can do it.

Live scores are my favorite. We did a math CFA today, and one of my kids started to shut down. After I noticed, I told my kids the CFA was a live score and they could have as many tries as they needed to reach proficient. His whole body relaxed and he started working. It’s magic.
