Fantasy author, wife and mother. Enthusiastic reader. My short story Phoenix can be found in the A Kind of Death anthology by Uncommon Universes Press.
A princess who makes dangerous bargains with the afterlife. A man desperate to save his wife, no matter the cost. An uber driver for the undead.

@HannahWardEdu Funny story: we had a toddler book I absolutely despised and considered throwing in a bonfire more than once but my kid loved it. Went through all his baby/toddler books and couldn’t make myself get rid of it. 😂
@timesnewemma@luinalaska 😂😂 I got praise for how I handled things in labor, but got scolded for refusing pain medication while recovering from an illness afterwards. My nurse tattled to my doctor.
(Joking about the tattling part, the nurses were wonderful).
@DuckieLouise@luinalaska And even if you pick one or the other it doesn’t mean you don’t think all the lives have value? I was talking about this once with some friends. “if some psycho made me pick between Chuck (a friend) and my son I’d pick my son, no offense to Chuck.
@TiffaniMarie483 Ex: he has asked about the memorial built for a young girl that was killed in our town. I tell him she got badly hurt and now she’s in heaven. I do not tell him how she died.
@TiffaniMarie483 I don’t lie to my kid, but I will change the subject or flat out tell him I’ll explain when he’s older. I do tell him as much as I can but yeah, some things he doesn’t need to know.
@BeckyTheChicken I mean, we joke about my son wrapping himself up in the umbilical cord so he wouldn’t have to come out but I don’t seriously subscribe to the idea that it was on purpose.
@allie__voss I’ve realized that I help my son way too much-all the while believing kids should develop independence! It’s just harder when it’s your little munchkin wailing that it’s too hard. So we’re working on that. Much to his dismay. 😂😂
@luinalaska Have to confess I’m a picky eater, but I don’t make it other people’s problem. You serve me food, I’ll eat it. At home I’m the cook, so I get to eat what I want. 😂
@emilykmay I had a cute reception dress, and it was so much easier to walk in. As much as I loved my wedding dress I was so glad to have a change of clothes.
@emilykmay Not a meal train example, but I can say when I had a sick kid and a husband that needed surgery, it was a man that sat with my husband during the surgery and communicated with me via text. He just brought his computer and worked. So yes, guys absolutely can step in to help.
