Schools take note! In the whirlwind of Covid-19, lots of schools have still not got their head round the introduction of the ECF which now means all NQTs are entitled to 2 full years of funded training and support as part of their induction period.

Handwriting policies. I have a bee in my bonnet about these today. Why does it matter so much whether kids loop or don’t loop a bloody letter. Why do schools teach 1 letter formation in KS1 & another in KS2? The obsession unnecessarily holds some kids back.

@FrenchieEstelle It’s not about being expendable. Everyone will be teaching. But we have to consider what the right and best decisions are for sustainability. If everyone is in and teaching those most at risk- then you run the risk of having no staff at all, which simply can’t happen.

Yes. This. Schools- please think about how you staff your schools for key workers. Having every single staff member in across a week isn’t protecting your staff and their families. Consider those with children and vulnerable partners at home.
