Our Gem of The Week is @ser_ocote, a Mexico City based artist who has been minting art on Tezos since February of 2022. Ocote takes street art influences and turns them into digital crafts.

One of his earlier Tezos works, “Oración a la Blockchain-Prayer to the Blockchain“, is a handmade digital illustration based on 4 basic colors found in Ancient Mexico, which depicts a man from ancient Mexico sending a digital prayer to the blockchain in search of abundance.

🍷They've given me another night off! But this month there is an interesting twist!

🤘In December, in a weak moment, Kevin @KMehrabi agreed to install a #Tezos baker live on video without a safety net.

😄 Kevin is a prominent OG of the #Tezos community but hasn't set up a baker before!

👀 We will watch Kevin, under my careful supervision, set up the software on a Tezos test network.

👉 Put it in your calendars. 20th February at 1900 UK time. It will be a live video from our X handles!

We will:

💾Install the Octez software on a Linux machine using Debian packages.
😎Configure the node and join the Quebecnet test network.
🍾Set up the DAL node.
💸Get funds for a test baking key from the faucet.
👨‍🍳Set the machine up to bake on Quebecnet.

By the end you will be amazed that it is so simple. 😃
