Don’t be deceived by cheap thrills and what you think makes you complete here in the temporal, instead look to the eternity and confess King Jesus as Lord💜
But someone will say, “You have theology; and I have exegesis.”
Show me your exegesis without theology, and I will show you my exegesis by my theology.

Pastor: If your flock audited your “on the clock” work, would they discover a man worthy of “double honor”—diligent in prayer, study, teaching, preaching, and ruling well (1 Tim. 5:17-18; 2 Tim. 2:15)?
Or would they uncover a distracted man diluting his energy with tangential web surfing or social media addiction?
What would “Screen Time” reveal on your phone? Your browser history? The timing and frequency of posts and replies on your timelines?
Our congregations may not know, but God does. Do we fear him?
Speaking of the wise man versus the sluggard in Proverbs, Derek Kidner comments: The wise man will learn while there is time. He knows that the sluggard is no freak, but as often as not, an ordinary man who has made too many excuses, too many refusals and too many postponements. It has all been as imperceptible, and as pleasant, as falling asleep.”
What a chilling statement! “The wise man knows…the sluggard is not a freak.”
Not an exception…a rarity…a strange case. We are all vulnerable.
Brothers, let us all “watch and pray that we not enter into temptation.” For scandal hath slain its thousands of pastors, but laziness, its tens of thousands.
- wise words from Jeff Wiesner
"It is one thing to be under the law as a covenant to acquire life by it (as Adam was) or as a schoolmaster and a prison to guard men until the advent of Christ; another to be under the law as a rule of life to regulate our morals piously and holily.
The law is compared by Paul to 'a dead husband' (Rom. 7:2, 3), not simply, but relatively with regard to the sway and rigorous dominion it obtained over us and the curse to which it subjected sinners; but not with regard to liberation from the duty to be performed to it. Thus the law threatening, compelling, condemning, is not 'made for a righteous man' (1 Tim. 1:9) because he is impelled of his own accord to duty and is no longer influenced by the spirit of bondage and the fear of punishment (Rom. 8:15; Ps. 110:3), but the law directive and regulative of morals is always laid down for him and he ought to be under it."
