@JoshuaBarzon I’ve never been in a church where the vote wasn’t a rubber stamp.
Rarely do we hear their testimony let alone afforded any opportunity to inquire of them. So what are we really “voting on?”
@JoshuaBarzon Americans like to go to churches like restaurants. They “ follow their heart.” If feelings change…” or if another church comes along with a tasty menu option… they want to be free
Question for those who hold libertarian free will:
At the moment of inspiration, could the authors of Scripture have chosen to write something different?
If not, why not? If so, what guarantees the Bible is perfectly reliable?
@DrJohnFrame Romans 4:11 says circumcision sealed Abraham’s prior faith, not his children’s. NT baptism is tied to faith (Col 2:12; Acts 2:38). Where is baptism ever applied apart from that?
@BeefyBoyBeef@RockWallBibles How do you account for places where a translation consistently reflects a particular textual decision ?
1 Timothy 3:16 for example?
@MtZionAD33@soli_Jesum But those guys all had big churches…that’s why people’s want to read them. Churches want “what works!” They’re just not as effective at it as those guys.
Make the Regulative Principle Great Again!
@drantbradley Can you share the source and year for these stats? Especially the claims about 54% of Black men earning $50K+ and 61% being middle class—I’m seeing different numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau and Bureau of Justice Statistics.
