Veterinarians are 3.5x more likely to die by suicide than the general public. To raise awareness of the challenges they’re facing, and to show them you're listening, please post photos of your dog’s ears using #EarsToVets

For my non-Texans, it’s hard to convey how f’d our state is. It’s barely broken freezing since Sunday. Half of Austin has been almost entirely w/out heat or power for 2.5 days. Water pressure is dropping and there’s a boil notice but half the city has no power to boil. Thread🧵⤵️

KEEPING WARM: Thousands of cold-stunned sea turtles are inside the South Padre Island Convention Centre after volunteers rescued more than 3,500 of them from freezing temperatures amid a record-breaking winter storm. https://t.co/ZFy8N1HIht

It needs to be LOUDLY emphasized that this is a lie. Wind and solar power actually overperformed expected winter capacity in Texas. The state was crippled by frozen coal and gas plants, knocking out over 30 gigawatts of power. Sources below.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has announced an epidemic order for 3 weeks, starting this Wednesday.

In-person learning for high schools and colleges are halted. Indoor dining, theaters, stadiums, organized sports (except pros) are no longer open.

Having a difficult time putting into words the feeling I had when I left the hospital after doing chest compressions on a coding young person who lost their fight with COVID, to see a normal packed Friday night at bars and restaurants...

@deray New from Trump, who brought you the classic tune “the reason there are so many cases is because we are doing too many tests” comes the new hit single “I’m only losing because they’re counting all the votes against me” #Elections2020

[Dana Nessel @dananessel]

Getting reports of multiple robocalls going to Flint residents that, due to long lines, they should vote tomorrow.
Obviously this is FALSE and an effort to suppress the vote. No long lines and today is the last day to vote. Don’t believe the lies! Have your voice heard! RT PLS.

[Joe Biden @JoeBiden]

We have one shot. One opportunity. One moment.

Don’t miss the chance — vote.
