Just completed my last day of student teaching! Such a mix of emotions!! So grateful to all the mentors I had who helped me get here. So excited to begin the next stage in my teaching career. Yet so sad to say goodbye to my kiddos and staff @PrairieTracePTO !!
Happy International Women’s Day! Today and every day, we celebrate the fearless women leaders who are making a difference. From our students, alumni, faculty, and staff, let’s continue to shatter that glass ceiling.
Great experience to understand the education system on a different level and to meet the people who have the ability to help make the changes us teachers see as necessary for our students. My fellow @ButlerCOE student teachers make me hopeful for the future of education!
Before today's SBOE meeting, Dr. Katie Jenner spoke to a group of @butlercoe seniors who are serving as student teachers at central Indiana elementary schools. @SecJennerIN praised the future educators for choosing a career that makes a difference in the community and beyond.
Educators need to understand pedagogy AND policy. Today @ButlerCOE senior student teachers are learning about the impact of policy on schools at the Indiana State Board of Education meeting.
Yesterday was my last day of student teaching with my fabulous third grade class! I can’t even begin to talk about how much this semester meant to me and these kids. We learned so much and had so much fun along the way! They were the best first class a teacher could ask for!
I simply can’t brag on my kids enough!! They make me so proud! Today they performed their dances in front of the whole school during morning meeting and they crushed it! They were brave leaders who were rewarded with more compliments and donuts than they knew what to do with!
@ms_scobie Ohmygoodness!! This is amazing! I can’t wait until we have ours up. They have been learning how to stitch them together, it’s been so amazing!
It’s time to sew our self portraits together to make a quilt!! Their creativity sparked amazing ideas for how we could put together all these pieces to make a quilt!
It’s amazing how much we can learn when we share our knowledge from our nonfiction books! My third graders always inspire me with how much they are capable of!
Getting ready to see our self portraits together to make a quilt! Their teamwork always amazes me and I can’t wait to see what they are able to create together!
What an amazing morning I had with educators from @IpsButlerLab55 and @ButlerLabSchool! Thanks to all of you for beginning the hard conversations about #reggioinspired teaching and learning, state standards, curricular resources, and how all of these can support the others.
It’s bat week! And even though the bat that invaded my home this year was scary, I am pushing through my fears to celebrate with my activists! Thanks Mr. Hyatt for teaching us about echo location and how you turn the bat sounds into music!
My Boltdog Award Winners!! My students love nature and are invested in learning more and sharing their knowledge. I’m so inspired by all they do and hope to do in the future. These activists are going to change the world!
