more so, experiencing that alongside my students is 20/10, highly recommend.

today, my students read a chapter from @deanspade’s ‘mutual aid’ & discussed ways to incorporate consensus decision-making into our class manifesto and community.

i’m happy about it and look forward to seeing how they use these strategies in our community!

today, after reading @BDTSpelman’s “the complexity of identity,” my 10th grader said that was the most interesting text she’s *ever* read in a history class. overall, my students “loved” it.

son’s school is at capacity for childcare and because of his special needs he may need 1:1.

private daycares will take him but they don’t have transportation to get him from school to the place.

so…what’s the solution? real question.

my patience hit a wall today. granted my “snap” is very minimal in damage but i felt it.

had my students do some quick math & they soon realized the poverty line for a family of 4 is half of their annual tuition. 🙃
