@MichelsFabiola@DanPardy BOOOOOOOOKKKKKSSSS. Even you love them; don't deny it. I have some to give you when I am done. ;)
I will say that kindle is amazing when you are travelling or living abroad. GAME CHANGER.
@Camila17831758@deborao60057418@DanPardy I was sad at some missed opportunities for sharing. Tech is such a debatable topic and it's HOT right now. I like twitter but I want to hear all of my classmates experiences. The SLAM was a taste of that and I can't help but feel I want more. @DanPardy#SUNYSNBR
@Meissa91293066@DanPardy I also love hands on! Ipads are great and simple but nothing beats getting messy and experimenting. It's all about the balance, right!? I strive for half and half.
Just used whatsapp to send material from class. Reminded me of the study about the app and usage in college. I have used whatsapp more today to make plans with friends and chat but I can't deny it's usefulness in the field of academics. Double edged. @DanPardy#SUNYSNBR
Working on some data analysis in grad school @DanPardy#SUNYSNBR. I love incorporating this into my schience classes. Students often think that all subjects are separate, but it is our responsibility to help them understand the power of subject connection & collaboration.
HAHAHHA Loved when people tried to get a slot early and cheat the system. Reminds me of when I'm in class and kids are trying to access a test or warm up early to finish first. Having the power to control that is amazing. Can't say I wouldn't do the same. @DanPardy#sunysnbr
@Camila17831758 I agree. It took me awhile to learn to be simple and clear. Nobody wants to look at a slide with a million words. It's especially stressful for those with anxiety or who obsess over writing everything. Keep the words minimum and the stories & engagement high.
@deborao60057418@DanPardy Storytelling is so great! Good point! I just bought an animal storybook for my 7th grade animal and living thing unit. Who says you cant learn from stories when you get older?! I still do!
What does a good presentation look like in 2019? It looks engaging, exciting, and relevant. Every year I work to update my presentations with videos, pictures, and current event examples. Love a good @prezi@DanPardy#sunysnbr
Was pulled from class today & so I utilized technology to complete a "Free Write current event" activity in my Life Science class. The discussion that followed this exercise was definitely interesting. Current event used:

Added a bonus survey question on a quiz last week & got some meaningful responses. One was about homeroom & I plan on incorporating it into a training next month. "Something I like about 7th grade is Homeroom because we can discuss things". Excellent! @DanPardy#sunysnbr
Why is renewing a #NCteachinglicense so hard when we are in such dire need of good teachers? #NCDPI has shown me nothing but poor communication and a rude attitude throughout this entire process. Sincerely, a passionate teacher near tears. @RegSupNCDPI
@MrReinaldo2 You so right! You can walk around and see when students are into the lesson (minus some of the every day distractions). It can get them down a rabbit hole of investigations- both a good and bad thing. ha!
Knowledge Constructor: Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning
experiences for themselves and others.
@DanPardy#SUNYSNBR
@MichelsFabiola@DanPardy I wish there was a good way to convince MS students that their surveys were important. Maybe we could do something silly like let them vote on a fun day for the last day of school and then actually let it happen so they know were at least reading them! @DanPardy#SUNYSNBR
OBSESSED with the this new app I found last week. I can send snail mail letters online! @slowlyapp utilizes technology to keep something beautifully old school alive. Good things take time but they don't have to be hard. I'm in love.
