On this World Teachers' Day!
"Indeed, the teachers are the heirs of the Prophets."
"Are those who know equal to those who do not know?"
Today, we join the world to celebrate our teachers. They are the true builders of our future. My first teacher was my mother, then my father, and then other teachers followed. Most of them are late now. May Allah be merciful to them.
This year's theme is "Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures."
This marks 60 years since the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.
Furthermore, to every teacher who continues to nurture minds with knowledge, character, patience and sacrifice, we honour you, we value you, and we stand with you. Your role is not just a profession; it is a legacy of prophethood.
Happy World Teachers' Day!
We are proud of our teachers, and may Allah bless them all.

We are now receiving reports that some thugs have allegedly been mobilized at Mile Three to attack the convoy of Professor Isa Ali Pantami as it returns tonight from condolence visits in Kaltungo, Billiri, and Shongom.
We wish to make our position clear to all stakeholders: we strongly appeal for peace, law, and order to prevail. We urge everyone to refrain from any action that could provoke violence, create unnecessary tension, or threaten the peace and security of the people of Gombe State.
At this critical time, restraint, responsibility, and respect for the rule of law remain essential. We call on all relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure the safety of everyone involved and to prevent any situation that could undermine peace and public order in the state.
