Last night, we were proud to welcome our EPQ cohort and their families to Haydon School for our EPQ Celebration Evening.
The evening began in the Sixth Form Study Room, where families watched a presentation showcasing the breadth, depth and originality of this yearโs projects. It was a powerful reflection of the intellectual curiosity, independence and resilience our students have demonstrated throughout their EPQ journey.
This was followed by the presentation of certificates, celebrating an exceptional set of results. An outstanding 78% of our cohort achieved A* grades, compared with a national average of around 21%. This remarkable achievement speaks volumes about our students' ambition and the strength of the support around them.
The celebrations continued with a meal in the Sixth Form Common Room, giving students, families, and staff the opportunity to come together and mark the occasion in a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful to their families for the encouragement they provide throughout the process. Thank you to our dedicated supervisors, who generously volunteer their time to guide and challenge each project, and to Mrs Foxon, whose leadership of the EPQ programme over the past three years has ensured its continued success and ever-improving outcomes.
Congratulations to this exceptional cohort. We are already looking forward to welcoming the next group of EPQ students and celebrating more outstanding achievements in the year ahead. #WeareHaydon #SpaceToGrow
SORTED Hillingdon visited Haydon School to deliver a powerful, informative talk on drug awareness to our Year 10 students. Their guidance encouraged young people to make informed, confident choices and to look after themselves and those around them. A brilliant opportunity for our students to learn and grow.

I never thought Iโd achieve my dream of writing a book but nearly a year ago, that dream came true.
If youโve read my little book for new teachers or gifted it to someone, I would love a review on Amazon. Thank you in advance!
