I am currently reading Ron Clark's The end of Molasses Classes and as I am reading I can't help but think about my first year teaching. (A Thread)

I was called extra, A LOT, by those around me. I was confused by what that meant, I was just doing what I was taught to do.

I'm sharing this for one reason. I need the teaching community to be supportive of one another. Don't call the teacher next door extra, or too loud, or too much. Don't rob another teacher of their love for teaching.

Be supportive, we are all doing our best with what we have.

I want to reach kids where they are at and push them higher than they thought possible.

I feel bad for my kids last year, I feel like they got robbed of all of Ms. Crockett. They got robbed of my full passion.
