Attempting to declutter my classroom is either the best or worst idea I've had this summer.

When I'm asked to give advice to students, the #1 piece of advice I give is this:
Just because a subject is hard for you (math/science/etc), that doesn't mean you're "not cut out for it." You don't have to be a natural at your chosen subject. It's okay if you have to work hard.

Remote instructional schedules SHOULD NOT adhere to brick&mortar schedules
Teachers & students SHOULD NOT be required to sit in front of a computer for 6 hrs
Solution: Modified shorter remote instructional time blocks Learning can occur through asynchronous/unplugged activities

I just finished the book "Mathematics For Human Flourishing" by @mathyawp. Such an inspiring and beautiful reminder of why we do mathematics. #mtbos
@ChristinaNosek I used @goformative with my 6th graders in the Spring. The "show your work" tool worked pretty well on their Chromebooks. Students could add a photo of work on paper if they preferred.
And my teammate and I could collaboratively design and share assignments, which helped a lot.
