@JMcKay1972@ParkPSClacks@AlloaScience@AlloaAcademy A fantastic experience and our learners certainly enjoyed themselves. I'm also a little fearful of how they will use their new found detective skills 🤔🧐🤓
This was an amazing series of lessons. Great discussion with each country about their priorities and the distribution of wealth (aka credits)
Understanding of the similarities and difference to the real world
In P7 we have undertaken the Water for All challenge. As different countries, we designed and built filters. Each country had different credit amounts for raw materials, some needed to apply for aid. Making connections & discussions about the impact of Technology Justice too.
P6 Engineering Challenge - all about 'Buoyancy'! Test phase today; great problem solving and teamwork on display. Rich discussions about design process, planning, material selection and the principles of density/water displacement - AMAZING!! 🚢👩🔧👷👏! #STEM#clacks#Engineers
An absolutely Brilliant Bingo tea tonight. Eyes down 👀 and concentration faces in place.
A great turn out, lots of laughter, brilliant prizes and some fundraising for our school. We even had some delicious sweet treats for our half time tea 🫖 and coffee ☕️
This was a fabulous performance by our pupils. It was even more special seeing some familiar faces in the audience enjoying the moment with us 🥰 #MakingMemories
Great ending to our final Christmas Concert this afternoon. Thanks to all parents & carers who were able to share this long awaited get together with us @ParkPSClacks . Its been too long since we last performed as a school and hope you really enjoyed yourselves? Merry Xmas 🎄🎅
Our P7 pupils have used their learning of 3D shapes and nets to create Christmas Baubles this week. You can see them displayed proudly at St Mungos Parish Church Festival of Lights. Pop along today 5 - 8 pm or Saturday 10 - 6 pm. Entry is free but donations greatly appreciated 🎄
This week has been all about Remembrance. Our P6 pupils presented facts about why, who and how we remember today at assembly. Such clear and confident speakers to a high quality audience. Our classes have also been creating some fabulous artwork around poppies too.
Today Park Primary were representing Team New Zealand 🇳🇿 at the Primary 7’s Touch Rugby Tournament at Alloa Rugby Club. @activeclacks@ParkPS@alloarugby Well done to all especially Lucas and Alistair for receiving their award for excellent sportsmanship 🙌🏻🙌🏻 🏉
Today we started our Vertical Learning groups. P3 & P4 mixed together to take part in photography, Dance, Art, Music and Fitness. P5-7 joined to experience STEM, coding, art, music, first aid and team work.
The smiles and concentration say it all. Definitely a successful start🥳
I absolutely loved doing this session with you all P4. Everyone was concentrating so hard to make the perfect playdough 👍 the sunshine and warm weather were great for our discussion about the environment on Mars too ☀️😎
Another picture from our British Science week. Our P4 class learned how to make playdough before creating some amazing lifeforms that are perfectly designed to Survive on Mars 👍 not sure which part was the most fun, making the dough or the Martians 🤔
P6 enjoyed investigating what plants different seeds came from and are looking forward to when their broad beans start to sprout! @MissJMcLean@ScienceWeekUK
This was so much fun Primary 4 😊 thank you for such an amazing discussion about Mars, your knowledge was astounding.
Your playdough skills were also out of this world 🌍
In P4 today we discussed Surviving on Mars! We thought about the environment and useful adaptions to help us survive. We then followed instructions to make our own playdough. We will use this tomorrow to create a being that can survive on Mars @MissJMcLean@ScienceWeekUK
Lots of hands on, explorative science in P6 today. Identifying parts of the seed and the fuel stored to help it grow. Looks like you all had a great time 👍
P6 were investigating seed growth as part of British Science Week. Exploring the different parts of the seed that help it grow. They planted some to and are going to observe their growth over the coming weeks.
@MissJMcLean@ScienceWeekUK
Our P2's were out today trying to answer the question What grows underground? Lots of smiles and laughter at some of the creepy crawlies living under our playground.
Lots of questions about what might live underground near them?
@MissJMcLean@ScienceWeekUK
This was brilliant Primary 1. Thanks again for letting me visit and share all things Growth mindset. I was very impressed with your Magnificent Things ☺️
Another session with our second P1 class. Using KAPLA and The Most Magnificent Thing to grow our bricks and our imagination. We have houses and castles and spaceships. There was no stopping the creativity this afternoon @MissJMcLean@ScienceWeekUK
