@Steph_Sukow@WeVideo PD is awesome! I love it and learning so many new things. Also, been trying to get back into the swing of picking up a book of some kind during this time. Any suggestions?
TA: We are all in this together! I loved learning about different methods used, and all the wonderful suggestions! Thank you all for sharing! Weโve got this!! #langchat
A5. Iโm thinking of trying to implement Flipgrid more! As of now, students had been assigned a culture project which they are using some of their Google tools, aka slides, docs, etc. to create their presentation and submit. #langchat
@KaraQuigley6@mmeshep Kara, this is so cool! I love this! One of my students mentioned about paella today and heโs going to try and make it. He said heโd film a video to show us all if he does! Great way to use context and culture together. #langchat
A4: Ohh how this can be a challenge. Right now, we talk a bit in our Google Meets but I hope to use Flipgrid and Padlet after spring break. I would like to find Ss from a Sp spk country to participate. #langchat
A4. Right now, we have been using Google Meets and also responding to, leaving feedback, and corresponding via discussion boards and comments together. Iโve used Flipgrid before but want to find ways to implement it more into what we are doing. #langchat
@MachadoProfe @mmeshep I love this! Flipgrid is a great way to reconnect with students, interact with one another, is easy to turn in, etc.
I want to use this more!! #langchat
A3. I upload videos on Loom or YouTube to an unlisted channel with my PT explaining PowerPoints and instruction. I also use Sr. Wooly videos and use worksheets, etc. which are posted in Google Classroom. #langchat
@mmeshep Yes, I am! Today's meet didn't focus on instruction. We just took time today to reconnect with each other and discuss any questions, concerns, how everyone is doing, anything interesting/fun that is going on, and so forth. This is my first time using this - love it! #langchat
A2. I use GClassroom to upload, leave feedback/answer questions, etc. for my students. I'm avail. through email! I wrote students & parents/guardians a letter with contact info & to check in. Every Wed. I host a Google Meet chat to class reconnect & touch base. #langchat
I love the Instagram idea! How cool! I also host Google Meets on Wednesdays. I actually had one today, as it was the first one and best day for most students to join in. I loved getting to see everyone's faces again! It was great just to reconnect us all. #langchat
A2: I created an Instagram account and reached out to some of the kids there. I'm doing check-ins via remind messaging just to see how they are doing -I really don't care about French. And I had a Google meet for Fr 3 yesterday just so they could check in #langchat
A1. YAY, GIFS!!!
It's going... Learning lots of new things. Plowing my way through the stress, but remaining positive. I miss my students and being in the classroom. It is truly a learning experience for all of us! #langchat
