@elonmusk This is plain dumb. As if people don't change their views throughout lifetime. Everyone gets more conservative as they age, that's the reality. Look at yourself. It's impossible to silence liberal views, unless you also stop producing children.

@ormusai Well if that thinking leads to action now then it's great. Sometimes people think, worry about AI replacing them and keep doing the same thing over and over. That's wasted time. I am yet to learn to stop doing that 😇

@karpathy What's funny is that humans too the smarter they get the more attention they spend on tiny details, figuring out edge cases. I guess we need to add feelings to LLMs, humans rely on them for action, a good way out of overthinking loops.

@levelsio Great questions! Carl Jung calls it shadow. We have this artificial avatar of ouselves created and need to maintain it. We want to think we are better, we don't like being judged, we feel there are some things better kept to ourselves. Lifelong struggle.

That's a bad take. When there is a time limit, mics, audience, elevated voice pitch, it becomes a battle of personalities not ideas. If one expert spent most of his time studying articles in a silent library and "non-expert" was doing stand-ups in the pubs - it's not apples to apples comparison. Then we have a battle of emotions, hand picked examples, better prepared soundbites and well spiked interruptions. Truth and analysis comes second.

In your jiu jitsu example - image a new athletic dude says he will fight you but only in 100F (38C) heat (he's a sauna fan).
