The past few Kindergarten! We have been exploring measurement, tools, circles, and finding the vowels and consonants in our name. These kiddos impress me every day 🤓
A very late and much needed life update! I am over one month into my first year teaching & could not love spending my days with these Kindergartners more! These past five weeks have been full of leaning our letters and sounds, shapes and numbers, and how to become strong writers!
As my senior year comes to a close I am reflecting on the amazing four years I have had in the @ButlerCOE. This past year of student teaching has taught me so much and I am eager to put all that I have learned to work in my own Kindergarten classroom in the fall 🍎!!
Such a fun day full of word work! We looked at words with silent consonants, played a compound word matching game, and ended the day with student created Mad Libs! I have been learning so many fun strategies to use in my classroom from Mrs. Bolles ✍🏼
Thank you @SecJennerIN for sharing your time and passion with our @ButlerCOE elementary student teachers at today’s Indiana State Board of Ed meeting. So important that our new educators know about policy and practice! @DrPangansclass
Pop-it math is such a fun way to practice quick math facts! This student has been working so hard all week to earn time together during his breaks. I’m so proud of him!
Helping our @ButlerCOE senior students teachers focus on wellness and balance through a meal planning workshop with @BA_at_Butler Educators give so much to their students, so thoughtful fuel to give them energy has to be a priority! @DrPangansclass
Feeling grateful for the opportunity to listen to Amy Ertel speak about social emotional learning tonight! I learned so much about how important it is to build a space where students emotions are a priority 🧠#behavioriscommunication
My first week @ButlerLabSchool was a success! This week I focused on building relationships with the 4th and 5th grade students I see everyday and began to relearn fractions 😉 I can’t wait to see what the rest of the semester holds!
I believe that children are curious, unique, and our teachers
I believe teachers are selfless, gifted, and our superheroes
I believe education is crucial, the foundation and is everything

This week in #BUBlockA we had the amazing opportunity to go outside & enjoy the warm weather as we reflected on our teaching practices & built on our wonderings, further developing areas for personal inquiry! I’m excited to look deeper into teacher language & identity work!
Proud of our @ButlerCOE juniors who skillfully taught a virtual, hands-on, and integrated art, science and social studies experience to 3rd graders - from 16 different spots on campus! #STEAM#STEM
