My favorite part about my job is getting messages from teachers sharing their student’s work from a lesson! What connections do you see the students making about multiplying decimals? #cfbproud
When we regulate our internal states and teach children to do the same, we transform behavior by creating a pause where self-regulation can occur. We (adults and children alike) can then choose the wisest response to meet the demands of the moment.

In this podcast, Vicky Hepler tackles end-of-year challenges with rituals that help ease the transition to summer and beyond. One of her helpful ideas is an "I Will Remember Book" for all students. What rituals do you have for the end of the year? https://t.co/aXz1CqDny4
It truly is an honor to work alongside Beth! No one more supportive, encouraging, and committed to the learning of her students AND herself! She helps me be my best and I'm forever grateful for that! @DiggsClassroom#cpsbest
Today I got to learn about mentor sentences from Nicole Vallee at @Benton_STEM!! I loved how she started with what her students needed then used an instructional practice that fit her students. And the growth is incredible! #cpsbest#cpsgrowsreaders
During a lesson using the book “Equal Shmequal,” Mrs. Floyd got out the pan balance to help her student develop a concrete understanding of how the equal sign means the number sentence is balanced. #mathjoycps
I got to participate in Mrs. Maddox’s reading lesson today! She would say “let’s return to the text” each time a student had a question about the vocabulary or plot. Then she would model the reading strategy of returning to the text. #cpsgrowsreaders
Together we answered “what does the equal sign mean?” A big question for a short time but the students did great thinking for a Friday afternoon! #mathjoycps
Ms. Schofield's class helped me count and organize a huge bag of popsicle sticks. They were great helpers AND we got to have great conversations about place value. #mathjoycps#CPSbest@FVEFalcons
My goal for the future? Teach less PD. Teach more student lessons! No better way for anyone – including me – to help out and show methods that work than by using them to teach kids. All kids. Your kids. Kids who struggle. Kids who don't. Join us!

@gfletchy Hi Graham! Is there a planning tool that works well with the BFF kits? I have a team of teachers looking for a document to write out the routines within a sequence.
