Being someone who went through a similar situation as a child, I deeply resonate with the children. I am completely heartbroken. These kids do not deserve this horror. And we 🇺🇸 provide the weapons for their annihilation. Where is our humanity?
What an incredible learning experience for Pittsfield Penguins. Special thanks to @huda_khal1, our amazing Umich Intern, for planning and teaching this fun Animal Adaptations science unit. You’re an inspiration, @huda_khal1 ❤️

@LookWhithin @ABC The entire country is based on the needs and wants of the “75% Whites” If this is uncomfortable for you, GOOD. It’s time to have uncomfortable conversations.
Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case for me. There are so many reasons I’d leave education, but none of those reasons include students or their families. Let that sink in. #teachershortage#teachers#LeadershipMatters#authenticity
The true leader in a group is rarely the person who talks the most. It's usually the person who listens best.
Listening is more than hearing what’s said. It’s noticing and surfacing what isn’t said.
Inviting dissenting views and amplifying quiet voices are acts of leadership.
Unfortunately, a lack of respect and support will drive out the best teachers. Teachers face many obstacles and when the most passionate ones are feeling discouraged and invalidated, it’s time to stop following this outdated “system” and begin to rebuild our educational systems.
Addressing the teacher shortage is going to require an active approach across the government and we are committed to not only ensuring more qualified Americans have a pathway to the field but that our current educators get the respect & support they deserve.
Affirm:
I matter. I love myself. I am worthy. I am valuable. I have a great purpose. I radiate beauty. I have a gift to give to the world. I deserve to be happy. I am intelligent. I am growing. I am healing. I am evolving. I am learning. I am creating a better life for myself.
#WeRemember the Jews who were targeted for extermination and other victims of Nazi persecution.
We honor their memory by calling out the rise in #antisemitism and say #NeverAgain.
New from Jimmy Carter: “I now fear that what we have fought so hard to achieve globally — the right to free, fair elections, unhindered by strongman politicians who seek nothing more than to grow their own power — has become dangerously fragile at home.” https://t.co/E39Z0EYPV3

"President Biden issued a proclamation on Friday to observe this Oct. 11 as a day to honor Native Americans, their resilience and their contributions to American society throughout history, even as they faced assimilation, discrimination and genocide spanning generations."
This year marks the first time a U.S. president has officially recognized Indigenous Peoples' Day.
Here's a look at the growing movement to acknowledge it — and what it means for Native Americans today.
