looking back, Interstellar made me so curious and interested about the universe that it’s one of the main reasons I chose to study physics

some of the proofs in our analysis 3 course (measure theory, L^p spaces, Hilbert spaces, etc.) are so hard that I don’t even need to read and understand them to be able to do my homework

the runner’s high I’m having rn is probably the best feeling I’ve ever experienced

the whole construction of L^p and Hilbert spaces is so conceptually beautiful though that I don’t even want to work on any of my other courses

there are so many long proofs that so far I don’t have much time to go through all of them even if I actually want to

@jack_ceroni maybe try to not focus too much on long term and try things that you think will make you happy short term and if they don’t work out you can try some other things

running after doing math all day is fine though, it’s mostly heavy lifting that really tires my brain out

what I figured out is that I can’t work out after doing math all day and I can’t do math after a workout, both activities tire my brain so much that I can only do one of those in a day properly

imagine being happy, such a waste of time

just realized the last time I:

played football
went to the gym
played some of my favorite video games
saw my friends

were all 4-5 months ago before the semester started
