The Five Wounds
By Kristin Valdez Quade
This was masterful with super realistic and flawed characters. Great discussion at book club too! stole @betweenmargins’ photo bc it’s lovely 😘

AHHHHHHHHHH THE MOST DESERVED AWARD THAT EVER WAS!
Congrats, @BespokeLib - your students, your community, and we, your peers, are so lucky to have you 💛💛💛
@nckhui Julie is a brilliant professional-more than deserving of the award as she works tirelessly for her students & community. Pointing out that she strives to curate a diverse collection isn’t the dig you think it is. Anyone can be a critic but theres only one NC Librarian of the Year
@kelseybogan At the end of last year I asked my MS students what they wanted more of - this list came from them!
(We get to order books once a year through the district but have no direct access to $ for any supplies, materials, or books throughout the year.)

Had an incredible visit to DC for #ALAAC22 -- time spent with friends, great food, many laughs, lots of learning and walks around town. Memorable + informative experiences beyond the conference itself. Gonna share some highlights below for anyone who may benefit. 🧵
