The Ministry of Earth Sciences hosted Global Navigation Network System (GNSS) brainstorming session at Arnav Hall, led by Dr. M. Ravichandran (@Ravi_MoES), Secretary, MoES. The session brought together scientists and experts to discuss advancements in GNSS science, emerging research opportunities, and applications across geosciences.

Key discussions focused on ionospheric studies, seismological research, glacier monitoring, marine and seafloor geodesy, and strengthening observational capabilities. The meeting encouraged knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and identification of future research priorities to enhance India’s scientific capabilities.

Participants shared insights, explored innovative approaches, and proposed strategic directions aimed at advancing GNSS-based research and supporting scientific understanding of Earth system processes.
