@BBCWorld Two different things happened on the same day. In the morning, Cambodia asked Thailand to hold a JBC meeting in the first week of January to resolve the disputed area and move toward de-escalation.

Toy for Love for Kids at Refugee Camp

PHNOM PENH - More than 10,000 football fans brought toys for children living in refugee camps during a Cambodian Premier League match between Boeung Ket and Svay Rieng at the National Olympic Stadium on December 27.

The donation event was organized by Boeung Ket Football Club. In addition to the toy donations, one US dollar from each ticket purchased was donated to a displacement support foundation.

Mr. Minister,
Those Khmer temples you mention in Thailand stand on territory Siam seized by force after sacking Angkor and carving up the Khmer Empire. They were built by Khmer kings, on Khmer soil, long before your ancestors took it.
Vietnam has Cham temples, not Khmer ones. Indonesia has Hindu-Buddhist sites influenced by many cultures, none of them Khmer.
So when you say “check your history,” perhaps start with the chapters that explain why those temples exist on land that was never Thai to begin with.
Cambodia is not claiming a monopoly. We are simply pointing out who actually built them, and on whose land, before history was rewritten by conquest.

What appear to be Thai tanks firing indiscriminately into a civilian area, with soldiers jeering as they fire on homes, comes across as a game. It is unclear what resistance is present here, but from this video, invading Thai forces are seen shelling and destroying the homes of Cambodian civilians in the Bung Trakuon area of Banteay Meanchey Province.
