Since 1986, Vaishno Devi Temple has been managed by J&K govt through the Shrine Board.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME) was established using Rs 500 crore from temple donations.

Now here is the irony
Out of the 50 students selected for the first MBBS batch at SMVDIME, 42 belong to the Muslim community and 7 to the Hindu community.
Take money from Hindus, empower Muslims

If mosques, churches, and gurdwaras are independently managed, why are Hindu temples still under government control?

Shouldn’t all religious institutions be equally autonomous?
