@AHDawnTour Omg if someone has me doing this at the first Toronto show lmk!! First row by the circle stage. I think it was the very end of the show? I forget. But I held that up for a while hoping someone would get it!
Or if you were in 131 in Boston!
Reminder that Barnes and Noble is the devil of bookstores. Please PLEASE always search out locally owned bookstores before resorting to B&N (or any box store or Amazon). Many independent shops also have sites you can order from, even if you’re not local.
@hardik97saluja@Chaantellie Part of being ok with doing things solo, at least for me, is being able to say “damn, I really love that I’m doing this. It would be awesome if I had someone to share it with, but right now I don’t, and that’s ok.”
Alone and lonely are very different. Loneliness does suck though
@AdriSheares This is so helpful. I never think to search TikTok, but I can see the value especially when traveling or just looking for anything lifestyle related. I hate fumbling through google results, reviews, image searches, YT vids, etc. Thanks for doing this and sharing the results!
@BrantTedeschi@AdriSheares From these clips, I don’t think they’re using it for deep topics. How to style clothes or do makeup, travel ideas, etc…super low risk stuff, “misinformation” almost doesn’t even apply there.
There’s PLENTY of dangerous info on the app, but that’s not what they’re searching out.
@BrantTedeschi@AdriSheares You grew up learning how to trust / judge google results, they’re growing up learning how to trust judge video results. Different medium, same process. And I’m certain you’ve used YouTube for research purposes. How do you judge which video to watch or trust?
@Doc_Wolverine By far my favorite part about therapy. I tell a fun story that I’d mostly forgotten about, my therapist looks at me like I have 10 heads and says “I’ve known you for how long, and this is the first I hear of this?”
Idk what to tell ya, I just thought it was a good story 🤷🏻♂️😂
@ninagrewal97 Learned a lot from that. I wish I’d been capable of expressing myself and regulating my emotions better, and creating a more welcoming space for them to express themselves on their terms and in their own way. Compassion is only as good as the way you’re expressing it.
@ninagrewal97 Not taking it personally is so so so important. As someone with my own wounds and anxious attachment, I took distance/avoidance SUPER personally, which only made me act out (word vomit) and make everything worse, even though I was trying my absolute best to make things better.
