The girls soccer team beat Cy-Creek tonight 2-1. Way to go ladies! Keep it going. BFND! The goals were scored by Kayla Montano and assist from Ashlyn Sims.
It’s signing day for two remarkable young ladies. Ashlyn Sims will be playing soccer at UT Dallas and Hayden Jenner at U of H in Victoria. Way to go girls! All your hard work paid off. Congratulations!!
We talk a lot about students being engaged. It occurs to me that one of the hallmarks of a great classroom is the TEACHER being engaged. Kids love it when their teacher is active, involved, and energized. And they can tell which ones are really “into it”... and which ones aren’t.
Labeling children by their level is detrimental to their self-esteem, their engagement, and, ultimately, their progress. The truth is that children can read books on a wide variety of levels, and in fact, they experience many different levels of books across the day. #FPLiteracy

❤️📚✏️"My classroom is a mixed bag of successes, pains, failures, messes, collaborations, flaws, beauty and adventures. And it’s every single one of these attributes that makes it so rewarding." ~Robert John Meehan
@PrincipalVest So true! What a great discussion this morning! We as educators need to facilitate the learning of social/coping skills just as we facilitate the learning of academic skills.
