Spent a beautiful crisp autumn evening walking the Stanmer park oral history project. What a fantastic way to engage pupils in a local study 📚🔍 #History #teachertwitter

Four weeks into my PGCE course and I have learnt so much! From 3 weeks of intense pedagogical study to my first week at my placement school, I've met so many wonderful colleagues and students. Missing my
@TBHAcademy family but looking ahead to my new career in teaching 👩‍🏫🎓🍎

A reminder that some students will have had an absolute terrible time over the last few weeks… time to slap on a smile and show them that someone really cares… someone really really wants them to succeed… someone is fighting their corner.

Change a life, be that someone.

Amazing news in today that we've won the award for "Best Mental Health Support Service for Young People 2023 in East Sussex" 👏🏻 We may be small but we're also pretty mighty 👌🏻 #BIY #earlyintervention #mentalhealth

Dysregulated behaviour and negative behaviour are not one in the same.

Teachers: Know your students, dysregulation is an normal part of some SEND students need.

Parents: A child having need is not a free pass for them to behave negatively. Poor conduct is not dysregulation.

Thank you to my brilliant team, our fabulous students and their wonderful parents for their support this term. It's been a blast.
Over and out.

We had the best day today with Let’s Go Fishing

🎣 All students (and staff) caught a fish
🎣 Some students were brave enough to hold their fish
🎣 Some brave enough to give it a little smooch!

Massive thank you to Ben and Darren for such a relaxing and enjoyable day 🐠

🧢When you work in education you wear a lot of hats…

Today mine was lizard surgeon 🦎✂️

Tiddles thankfully survived his tail reattachment with some expertly applied nail glue and plasters

⭐️Sometimes you just need to teach a lesson in your pants…

Such a great session in our anxiety workshop today exploring a graded exposure approach to facing your fears 💪🏼

It is deeply disturbing that organisers of the #NotMyKing protest in London have been arrested this morning, before the protest even began.

Whatever you think of the monarchy, the right to peaceful protest is fundamental to democracy.

This is a chilling violation of that right.

[Shelly M @ShellyAsquith]

Outrageous scenes of cops arresting anti-monarchy protestors and stealing their placards

So we are not allowed to show public opposition to a bloke being crowned head of state for having been born into unimaginable wealth while ppl line up at food banks and schools fall apart

✨The year 11 ASDAN group have made my day with a PPA coffee delivery✨

Big love to their Brewscapes business 🌈

When someone opens up to you about how they are feeling, you don’t need to have all the answers or make their difficult feelings go away. You don’t need to ‘fix’ them. The best thing you can do is show them you hear them.
