@yourturnoutgear @JeffKnobbe@PJNorwood@LION_Gear@DarkWatersMovie@frankriccidc@smittchy @gfpeaslee Also, Stedair’s technology has nothing to do with LION. Again, my biggest issue with this is going after the wrong people. I agree this has to be dealt with so let’s all go after the part of the supply chain that is responsible, not the gear manufacturers. They are so far away.
@JeffKnobbe@PJNorwood@LION_Gear@DarkWatersMovie@frankriccidc@smittchy @yourturnoutgear @gfpeaslee I can tell you first hand LION* (spelling correction) has every interest in the world to discuss it. Please reach out to any rep. They host chats about this topic a few times a month. Also IsoDri* (spelling correction) along with many other liners have made the switch. #progress
@smittchy@LION_Gear I can find articles too. There definitely has been an issue in the past (and potentially still is). There is so much conflicting research. Either way, LION, Glove, MP, etc are not the ones making the materials. The issue is much further up the supply chain.
@RegularMatt@PJNorwood@LION_Gear@NeilMcMillan162@OPFFALocal_162 I am just trying to shed some light on the fact that we should not be attacking the actual gear manufacturers when the issue (if there still is one) is way further up the supply chain. I agree for sure that it should be addressed!
@RegularMatt@PJNorwood@LION_Gear@NeilMcMillan162@OPFFALocal_162 Matt, I have done a lot of research on this subject and there is no doubt there was, and potentially may still be. From my research about 5 years ago the material manufacturers stopped producing gear with PFAS in it. LION, Globe, MP, etc. have nothing to do with this. Stay safe!
@PJNorwood@LION_Gear@DarkWatersMovie@frankriccidc@smittchy @yourturnoutgear @gfpeaslee 1. Fair enough,. They may have been testing old gear. DuPont has ridden itself of that for at least 5 years.
2. I asked and LION took their page down for maintenance and happened to be at the same time. They are always happy to discuss this.
3. Good luck on your findings! :)
