visits the pope → pope dies
leads Iran negotiations → talks collapse
flies to Hungary to prop up Orbán → Orbán loses in a landslide
Man’s got a streak.
@MichaelPTKelly The one thing all these types have in common is that they reject the very "synodality" that they call for. If he was Pope tomorrow he'd stamp out Latin mass and anything else he didn't like, and force his view on everyone.
@DavQuinn It's a pity the two men at the top are both preachy, condescending and aggressive/go on the attack when under pressure. Not a fan but at least Varadkar could go on TV and appear to be defusing a situation or say the right thing. Neither Harris nor Martin have that ability.
I’ll tell you who @Toibin1 is.
He’s a politician who cares about his constituents and fights with them, not against them. @ThomasByrneTD, you need to realise you work for the people and not for yourself.
This protest has highlighted the incompetence of the leadership, and if you can’t see that, I pity your constituents.
@ThomasByrneTD Maybe you should drop the condescending tone and put your efforts into alleviating the burden of this crisis on your constituents rather than talking crap about a hard-working TD who is prepared to work across party lines and isn't just a yes-man for a party boss like so many FFG
@FineGael@SimonHarrisTD "I've been a TD since I was 24 and never had to worry about paying the next bill but I can totally relate to the struggles of the plebs."
@fiannafailparty@MichealMartinTD FF really not reading the room on this. It's a pity both the Taoiseach and Tainiste are over-sensitive and go straight to attacking and lecturing rather than attempting to understand anyone who disagrees with them.
