Every Monday.
I wake up.
And wish things were different this week.
And it isn’t.
The greyness, the void, the ache, the lows…is the same.
There's no quiet place to fall apart, but the need to show up - again.
Life. 💔
#Grief
watched a grown man roll his eyes at my daughter because she asked if the restaurant used peanut oil.
She’s eight. She has a severe peanut allergy, and even a tiny mistake can send us to the hospital.
The waiter answered politely, but before he could finish, the man at the next table laughed and said, “Kids these days are raised to be scared of everything.” My daughter immediately went quiet.
@LondonAllergy We know 💔 We all witnessed yet. Every one of us. Yet some remain quiet. A generation of us is horrified by Israeli brutality and we aren't even the ones who experienced it in person. #Palestine_Genocide
@RoshanaMN@POTUS@RishiSunak Honestly some of the whataboutery replies to this message says it all. A doctor who deals with trauma is sharing her disgust at the brutality and murder we are all seeing in Palestine and these are the replies people feel are appropriate.
@SuhanaAh I'm so so sorry to hear this. Utterly disgusting behaviour on his part. I can imagine the shock and confidence knock. Hopefully with time you'll find a way to go out running again. I think you're awesome and your running journey is amazing.
@dakhterakhter A lot of the replies to this doctor are absolutely disgusting and filled with hate. This doctor spends her day helping others and then reflects on how children struggle to receive basic healthcare and you come at her with your "Hamas this ..and Hamas that". Disgraceful
@LondonAllergy Honestly I look at this photo and feel so proud of how you care for your lovely mum. May Allah SWT give you and her the best of everything x
@SuhanaAh Am just some stranger on here but I see you smashing your running and all else you put effort into. Don't lose belief in yourself. You're doing great 💕
@nysuri One of the MANY painful things I have realised during this tragic time is that the answer to this is sadly yes. They do defend this action. Their answers start with "Blame Hamas...." And it repulses me. If you have an excuse for this then you have truly lost your way.
