@indexnforgetit Totally. Had a similar experience: Was abroad and needed to buy a car and have it ready for me as soon as I got back to the US. Literally texted them the VIN of the *exact* car I wanted, told them to charge my cc for a deposit. Pulling teeth to give them $!

@Daramgaria Did something similar about 15 years ago when one of my favorite brunch places in DC took their Duck Confit Eggs Benedict off the menu. Sent them a pleading message, and they brought it back! (It's still on the menu today!)

@nickgerli1 Nashville resident here. Tax appraisal office told my husband that appraisals were based on 2024 market — the appraiser’s office KNOWS they chose numbers too high/pre-correction.

@RiotDogChicago @DietCoke_Esq This. Had a judge do this, too, when it became clear that--among other things--pro se plaintiff was using AI to draft his frequent, voluminous, and repetitive filings.

@scarylawyerguy @diablovalleycap I don’t necessarily believe the explanation as coincidental, but as someone who lives 3 blocks north of the protest site: Apaches fly over our house *all the time.* It’s weirdly on some standard training-exercise route. So it’s at least possible they’re not outright lying.
