@Patrick_Reusse Pat, after reading the column on Ohtani there’s a question I’ve always wanted to ask you: Could Dave Winfield have done something similar if given a chance?
@TonyDungy I’ve admired you since your days as a Gopher quarterback while I was growing up in Minnesota. Always admired your reasoned opinions and integrity. Enjoy whatever comes next. Thanks for the memories.
@BennyisHere_215@SamHerderFCS I understand they never were as dominant as NDSU but I remember when Idaho was a premier FCS team and totally flopped in FBS football.
@KVanValkenburg Didn’t like his often antagonistic personality but his success can’t be ignored. The problems he raises are real but I’m not smart enough to know the solutions.
@blamberty Jarvis Redwine as I remember. He could run fast but couldn’t do much else. Quickly swallowed up in the NFL when he didn’t have the luxury of running behind the Huskers offensive line.
@sansaver23@KVanValkenburg I was there in the 80s and 90s and even though it was then”Air Read” offense, nearly every season the Grizzlies had 1 or 2 offensive linemen deemed NFL prospects. I don’t see that anymore.
@KVanValkenburg The portal, recruiting, there’s no excuse for Hauck not finding a way to get bigger and more physical on the LOS. I also know I’m old fashioned but with. RB as good as Gillman shouldn’t the offense include a package of plays from under center?
@KVanValkenburg Thanks for the clear headed analysis. The common denominator is the Bobcats ability to assert their will when it counts the most. They dominated the LOS women they needed to and the Griz couldn’t get a stop
