Horn said it’s “been kind of fast” for him, but it’s “slowing down everyday.”

Patrick Mahomes’ initial rookie contract in 2017 was a 4-year, $16.4M deal.

The 10-year, $450M contract he signed in 2020 was groundbreaking, and he’s already earned well over $200M of it while the quarterback market has continued to skyrocket.

Now, the Chiefs are once again adjusting that deal to bring him more in line with the current QB market.

What Dave Canales told me on Saturday for those who didn't catch the C3 Panthers Podcast last night…

-Dave told me Xavier Legette has easily looked like the best WR in practice. Came in 10 pounds lighter and looks the best he's ever seen him. This organization really still believes in XL and it shows when Dave brought him up unprompted.

-I told Dave how excited fans are about Chris Brazzell, and he said they are to. Told a story where he effortlessly juked the defender on a corner route and just glided by him with ease.

-I said to him, you guys have really built a basketball team at the WR position jokingly, and he answered and said we definitely have. They never intended to do that specifically, but their evaluation process led them to this group of guys.

-I mentioned it looked like Bryce Young has put on some muscle, he says "you know what, if Bryce puts on 5 pounds, then great. If he puts on 20 pounds then it's too much. We don't want to change who Bryce is as a player because he's a magician and they want to keep them that way.
