#FPL 1/2 — Draft #3 🔄 | 99% locked 🔒
Back closer to my original structure as per my Tuesday draft, with slight tweak.
Biggest change from my 2nd draft is moving away from Shaw. Similar concern to Mosquera/Calafiori: I don't really want to carry xMins uncertainty when United are actively chasing another LB. I also can't stand the idea of benching both Maguire and Shaw on GW4-5.
So only Maguire stays from the cheaper Utd DEFs.

#fpl is finally here!
Like everybody else, it ended up between WC3 and WC7 for me. But as my playing style is about maximizing upside, WC3 ended up as the clear strategy for me.
WC3 lets me attack GW1-2 before wildcarding into optimal structure with Haaland + 4.5 striker. Konsa at 4.5 is also an amazing enabler and will be close to essential (if he locks down RCB).
FH3WC7 also looks really strong, mainly due to having a wildcard after the big international break, where a lot of things can change. You also get Haaland at a good time. But a part of maximizing upside is giving up information & flexibility, to a certain extent of course.
The team itself has had small changes the last two days, but the core has stayed the same. Triple Arsenal, United and Sunderland. Double Liverpool, JP & Ndiaye.
The optimal line had Scherpen over Verbruggen, but that means hedging, so that’s a no for me. I like Havertz but not sure his minutes are that good (around 70).
Same problem with Calafiori. He looks really good for GW1 but a potential pre-60 sub is not worth the risk, I think. I guess if I’m to change anything today it’s gonna be Calafiori in for White. We’ll see.
Other than that I’m really excited for the new season. I think my decisions make sense, and are the best for how I want to play, and for my goals. I can’t do much more than that. Time to let variance do its thing, one way or another. 🧘🏼♂️
Best of luck to everybody 💚
