The ETS3 trains will significantly reduce journey time between KL and JB and they are set to enter service in 2025 together with the completion of the Electrification Double Track Project from Gemas to JB Sentral.

New Electric Train Assembling In Progress!
Following up from the previous design reveal, 1 out of the 10 sets of ETS3 are currently being assembled locally at CRRC Rolling Stock Center Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Batu Gajah.
A total of 8 trains will be assembled here while 2 trains will be shipped from CRRC Zhuzhou's HQ from Zhuzhou, China. The new ETS3 which is inspired by Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House features new distinctive looks which varies from the current ETS trains.
The existing counters and AFC equipment at Entrance A of MRT station will be relocated to a new location in 1Powerhouse. The existing link bridge will also be converted into a paid area concourse. With this progress, LRT Shah Alam Line remains on track to open in March 2025.
Bandar Utama LRT Station Update!
As the northern terminus of the LRT Shah Alam Line, infrastructure works are progressing well with the construction of a new paid-to-paid link bridge and a new ticket concourse.
The paid-to-paid link bridge will provide a comfortable and seamless transfer for passengers travelling between LRT Shah Alam Line and MRT Kajang Line without the need to tap-in and tap-out when interchanging.

These locomotives has a max speed of 100km/h and has been widely used in China with a few exported to other countries. Upon arrival at Malaysia, these locomotive will help in the construction and engineering works on the ECRL.

New locomotive for ECRL unveiled!
A few units of DF8B diesel locomotive with the official East Coast Rail Link livery can be seen parked outside CRRC Ziyang manufacturing plant. These locomotives are waiting for their turn to be shipped over to Malaysia.
6 LRT stations between Bandaraya and Sentul Timur to resume operations with shuttle service at 8 mins frequency.
LRT 11, 13, & 14 will be replaced by LRT10 serving between Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya Stations.
Elevated viaduct and pillar restoration works still in progress.

The refreshed interior show a complete makeover of the station with new decorations within the KLIA Ekspres Departure Hall. Passengers will also be greeted with a modern finishing when buying tickets, checking in their luggage and going to the platform.

Artist Impression of KL Sentral (KLIA Ekspres) Refurbishment Revealed
The refurbishment project for KLIA Ekspres which is still in design phase has been revealed by HMSK Architecture Sdn Bhd, with the rendering showing a refreshed interior for the check in counter and platforms.
When put into service, these fully automatic train will operate at a speed of 80km/h without any drivers onboard. The journey time from Johan Setia to Bandar Utama is will take less than 60 minutes and it's expected to put into service by early 2025.

LRT3 or also known as Shah Alam Line has finally received all of its 22 sets of 3-car train manufactured and assembled locally by CRRC Zhuzhou on 10 May 2023.
