@OleTimeHardball As a teenager, he and his friends would drink beer and moonshine in a tin shed. They drank it out of discarded oil cans to hide it from adults. Since "oil" was a local slang term for alcohol, his friend Pap started calling him "Oil Can”
@DailyFaceoff When the Flyers and Blues planned to swap defensemen Travis Sanheim and Torey Krug, but the deal died when Krug refused to waive his no-trade clause to leave St. Louis. Flyers definitely were better off with it failing.
@baseballinpix Pinstripes made him look thinner. Looks like he had a final resurgence in’83 after his numbers had been dropping. Could be an adventure in the OF sometimes with the Phils but I enjoyed watching him hit.

@PHLY_Flyers They also could have picked Ryan Lin this year, who is 24 on Wheeler’s rankings. I think Sokolovskii and Lin will both be good players but very different.
@SuitableAlias Most Flyers commentators I heard on him lately don’t seem to think he’s proven he can be much better than the Flyers current center prospects.
@nhltraderumours He probably doesn’t view the Flyers situation as a lot better than Detroit’s right now. So I don’t see why he would want to be a Flyer.
