@Gfilche @Tesla @grok Pro-tip, if you find yourself having a hard time finding charging, you can camp at an RV site and charge overnight using their RV outlets. If they give you a hard time just tell them you'll use less electricity than an RV running their AC.

@Gfilche @Tesla @grok Get a 12V cooler for the back trunk well. I bought shades for all my windows to block out the sun. I bought RV wheel risers because the back of the car isn't flat. I use extra pillows to fill the area between the head rests and the front seats.

What to know:
- the back is not completely flat, you might want to get RV style rizers/levelers for the two back tires
- if you're above 5'8" I would recommend doubling up on pillows because the gap between the front seats and the back is a bit annoying which I stuff with pillows
- turn off the interior light bar before you sleep
- be sure to arrive at a campsite with lots of energy because you will use 5-20% per night depending on how hot or cold it is outside
- if you want to trickle charge while you sleep then RV sites are great
- window shades are great for heat and privacy

It's also one of the only assets that you can margin and not get margin called (mortgage). Real estate generally doesn't make any sense if you're not leveraging.

But I agree with the sentiment, it's not as lucrative as a lot of sleezy YouTubers will have you believe.

I am looking into property development as a real estate play.

I think it's because the vehicle came out at the same time that Elon was doing his political stunts and the supposed Nazi salute. I think the truck has unfortunately become a political statement and most people have zero interest in driving around a political statement. I personally would feel a bit uncomfortable for that reason and I typically DGAF what others think of me. I just wouldn't want to have that boring conversation over and over multiple times a week. If it had twice the range (to tow a trailer into eastern Oregon) then I would probably persevere and buy it.

Their business model doesn't really make sense. How are they going to finance as many cars as they need to? Public offerings and debt will only go so far. Tesla will finance their vehicles by debt, equity financing and, most importantly, customer subsidized purchases. They get paid upfront to put a vehicle on the road that they will then get more revenue from on the network. Not sure how anyone else will be able to compete with that. Waymo might have a niche product for Elon haters or some other fringe clientele but Tesla will almost certainly be 50x times their size.

@andrewchen I am having a hard time imagining what you are saying. Do you have an example of a spreadsheet converted into "software" that might help me understand? You mention =VLOOKUP, do you have an example of that in practice?

@Teslarati Absolutely more range. Right now I can't tow anything into much of Central Oregon because Superchargers are so sparse. I want the truck real bad but it needs like double the range.

I think of course fast charging speeds would be amazing if done safely. But honestly, I think more supercharger locations would be a higher priority for me. I just bought a performance Model Y and want to take it down some back roads in Oregon but am a bit worried about charger access if I drive hard in the middle of nowhere. We'll see.
