@Stephan05593081@sweetsummer_t @LukeRussell1281 @jill_shank@WLOS_13 Bahahaha!!! What a moron. I wouldn't even waste my time on him. I think the lack of oxygen from that double masking killed a few brain cells lol. ๐
I applied for this "immediate relief" in person, after a week without electricity, water or Internet. Food was spoiled, resources scarce.
FEMA emailed (again, we had no Internet) a denial but encouraged me to apply for a federal small business loan. Weird because I do not have a small business.
FYI, there are a few communities between Hendersonville and Asheville, even if you don't go to Asheville proper:
Fletcher
Arden
Skyland
Sweeten Creek area
Lots of retail, restaurants, coffee shops that are open for business.
@mu7380@NC_Governor May him nor his family ever have a decent night's sleep for the rest of their years.
I hope they're haunted by souls that were taken by his delayed response to let the Our people know to get out of harms way!
Friend of mine took FEMA up on their Temporary Shelter Assistance out-of-town motel stay. Said when they were arguing with the front desk over room availability (booked online), 3 buses pulled up, all younger males, none of them English speaking, who were immediately handed room keys.
Somebody just made an excellent point. @KamalaJonze
Where are all the free flights for Floridians to get out of harms way? We can fly illegals all across the country, but we can't fly out those in the path of Milton.
Why is that?
๐ณ I hope people have done all they can to preserve & reserve as much resources as they can because they are going to need it. Because the aftermath is always worse than the actual storm itself. You have to contend with so much when the storm has passed. Basic necessities.
Hygienic products. Food & water. Property damage. Pets. Insurance. Communication. Electricity. I mean you can only live on a prayer at that point. I have been through a couple of storms. And faced these circumstances. So I understand the desperate nature of dealing with all of this at once and having no place to go.
So everything happening right now at this point can not be avoided due to the circumstance surrounding what the last storm left in residual damage that is causing blockades just from the debri alone. So I hope everyone did all they can. Because this will be a long few months for many people.
Iโm not here to postulate whatโs going on w/ Milton in regard to being manipulated or not - but this bag of dicks was so smarmy in his self righteous stance that I canโt help myself โฆ
So, please allow me to retort:
My literal job is to call out lying shitbags like yourself.
You should do some research on weather that isnโt influenced by whoever pays you enough to play stupid.
Particularly Operation Popeye. (Pro-Tip: No amount of mental gymnastics will erase the fact that we used weather manipulation against the VietCong in the Vietnam War.)
Are you the same sort of โmeteorologistโ that predicted a mere 6โ of rain from Helene in Western NC?
Asking for a few hundred thousand friendsโฆ
You โexpertsโ have a resounding track record, what, with the โ2 weeks to flatten the curveโ, โsafe and effectiveโ, and โit came from a batโ.
The public writ-large no longer gives a flying shit what Mainstream Media or cookie cutter fuckwits like you have to say anymore.
Folks like me? Independent Journalists? Yeah - We are the news now.
Deal with it, Soybean McLibdouche.
When you ask your #NewOrleans uncle for advice about dealing with crazy Gubmint helicopters, and he tells you to just stay positive...thanks Nonc!
