हमें आज भी वह मामला याद है।

जब हमने एक वायरल वीडियो के आधार पर संबंधित पुलिस से कानूनी कार्रवाई की मांग की थी। हमने अपनी पोस्ट में आरोपी की प्रोफाइल URL, ओरिजिनल वीडियो लिंक और अन्य उपलब्ध साक्ष्य भी साझा किए थे। इसके बावजूद जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के एक अधिकारी ने आरोपी के बजाय हमारी प्रोफाइल की जानकारी X (ट्विटर) से मांगनी शुरू कर दी।

उस समय हमारी टीम और कई पत्रकार साथियों ने इस कार्रवाई का विरोध किया। बातचीत के बाद हमें आश्वासन दिया गया कि आगे ऐसी स्थिति नहीं होगी।

लेकिन सबसे बड़ा सवाल आज भी वही है
जिस व्यक्ति ने कश्मीर में पर्यटक बनकर भारत की महिलाओं का अपमान किया, उनके पहनावे का मज़ाक उड़ाया और उसका वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर साझा किया, उसके खिलाफ आज तक क्या कार्रवाई हुई?

अगर कानून का इस्तेमाल शिकायत करने वालों की पहचान तलाशने में होगा और आरोपियों पर कार्रवाई नहीं होगी, तो ऐसे ही मामले हर रोज देखने को मिलेंगे।

हम संबंधित अधिकारियों से आग्रह करते हैं कि ऐसे मामलों पर सख्त कार्यवाही होनी चाहिए वीडियो किसने बनाया उन तक पहुंचा जाए कहा साझा की गई है Fact check Research टीम की सहायता से ऐसे मामलों की संपूर्ण जानकारी जुटाने होंगे ताकि आरोपी की पहचान हो और गिरफ्तारी करें।
