South Africa’s Rand Merchant Bank conducted research on 31 African countries and produced a ranking chart for the best and worst places for investment among those 31 countries.
Zimbabwe ranked 31st out of 31, making it the worst place to invest.
Yet, when we warned the Zimbabwean tyrant Emmerson Mnangagwa and his regime that they were damaging the country’s investment prospects through corruption, abuse of power and the destruction of the judiciary, they dismissed our concerns.
Rand Merchant Bank assessed economic performance and potential, market accessibility and potential, economic stability and investment climate, and social and human development.
Zimbabwe performed the worst in all these categories, even being outdone by war-torn countries like the DRC.
When we say state pillaging and corruption drive away genuine investors, this is what we mean.
You can’t spin this with cheap and crude propaganda when your neighbour tells you that you are the worst place for genuine investment.
This research conducted by South Africa's Rand Merchant Bank provides a sobering assessment of Zimbabwe's investment climate, underscoring the severe impact that corruption, poor economic performance, and weak social and human development have on Zimbabwe's ability to attract and retain investors.
Social and human development includes healthcare, human rights, employment and salaries and living standards.
Genuine investors seek a stable and transparent business environment, which requires strong institutional frameworks, a commitment to the rule of law, and respect for human rights.
Not a place where the president is the mafia don and controls public procurement through his criminal cartels!
Emmerson Mnangagwa and his criminal syndicates are the worst thing that ever happened to Zimbabwe, he has taken the country back to the 1940s.
He can’t even put pain killers into central hospitals or provide clean drinking water in any of Zimbabwe’s towns and cities!

This is an amazing parliamentary speech.
It is something you would want your kids to watch so they don’t think all politicians are thieves and dishonorable!
It is historic and this is what we should be retweeting not half naked women dancing Barcadi!
