Rwanda is proud to have hosted this historic UCI Road World Championships. I congratulate all the riders who competed across our capital city for their remarkable achievements and resilience. My sincere appreciation to my friend, David Lappartient @DLappartient, the UCI team, our partners, the security organs who kept the race route secure and the people of Rwanda whose energy and support made #Kigali2025 truly unforgettable.
On this 7th of April, Rwanda and the entire world commemorate, for the 31st time, the more than one million Tutsi who were killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
On this day, the world once again takes a moment to reflect on the consequences of genocide and to commit to fighting its ideology so that genocide never happens again.
Remember, unite, renew.

As we commemorate the 31st anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, the RPF-Inkotanyi condoles with all Rwandans, especially the survivors community.
May this commemoration be an opportunity for us to further strengthen our unity as Rwandans and to continue fighting resolutely against the genocide ideology. Remember, unite, renew.

On Monday, we honour the 1 million people who perished in the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda 31 years ago, and reflect on the suffering of those who survived.

A sad sad day for all of us at OGS. Go well my dear colleague and friend Alain. We have lost a talented, loving, gentle soul and we are grateful to have known him. We will miss the positive spirit Alain brought to the team. Rest in peace and love. 🙏🏾

“Rwandans today are better and stronger than we have ever been. We keep marching forward, like the men and women of our defence and security forces, who have just paraded before us.
Three decades ago, this building was the site of refuge and rescue. From the surrounding neighbourhoods, Rwandans flowed here for safety. And many were saved, thanks to the Rwandan Patriotic Army. An act that was repeated countless times, all across our country.
On July the 4th, we express our thanks to those who liberated Rwanda, and remember those who gave their lives.” President Kagame | #Kwibohora30

“You have not changed, you are that army of lions, and I have not changed. The good thing about this is that lions give birth to other lions. We now have a legacy of young lions, girls and boys. You are lions led by a lion.” Chairman Kagame | RPF Presidential Campaign - Nyarugenge District.
