آج اہلِ اسلام عید کی خوشیاں منا رہے ہیں مگر بلوچ قوم کے لیے یہ دن درد، غم اور غصے کو تازہ کرنے کا موقع بن چکا ہے۔ بلوچ قوم کے دل میں عید کی خوشیاں نہیں بلکہ دکھ، درد اور بے بسی کی گونج ہے۔ بلوچ عورتیں اپنے لاپتہ بیٹوں اور شوہروں کے لیے سوگ منا رہی ہیں، ماں باپ اپنے لاپتہ بیٹوں اور بیٹیوں کی رہائی کے لیے بے چین ہیں اور بہن بھائی اپنے پیاروں کے لئے سراپہ احتجاج ہیں۔ اس دن جب دنیا بھر میں خوشی کی لہر ہے بلوچ عوام کے لیے یہ دن غم کی ایک اور گہرائی میں ڈوب جانے کا دن ہے۔

آج ایک سال مکمل ہو چکا ہے جب ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ بلوچ اور ان کے دوست جو ہماری قوم کی آواز اور امید ہیں، بے بنیاد، جھوٹے اور بوگس کیسز کی بنیاد پر جیل میں قید ہیں۔ آج بھی ایک ایسا کیس نہیں ہے جس میں کوئی ثبوت پیش کیا جا سکا ہو۔ اس کے باوجود وہ آج بھی قید و بند میں ہیں۔

پہلے جب ڈاکٹر گھر میں ہوتی تھیں ہم سب مل کر عید کی خوشیاں مناتے تھے۔ مجھے آج بھی وہ راتیں یاد ہیں جب عید کی رات ہم چاروں بہنوں کے ہاتھوں پہ وہ مہندی لگاتی تھی اور ساری رات خوشگوار باتوں میں گزر جاتی تھی۔ مگر اب جب وہ جیل میں قید ہیں تو عید کے دن ہمیں جیل میں ان سے ملنے جانا پڑتا ہے۔ اور وہاں بھی ہم خالی ہاتھ واپس لوٹتے ہیں اور خوشی کی جگہ درد اور غم ہمارے دل میں اتر جاتے ہیں۔

میری والدہ نے اب اس سسٹم پر یقین کرنا چھوڑ دیا ہے۔ جب بھی میں عدالت سے واپس گھر آتا ہوں پورے گھر میں خاموشی چھا جاتی ہے۔ کیونکہ سب کو بخوبی علم ہے کہ یہاں قانون صرف اور صرف طاقتوروں کے لیے ہے اور مظلوم و بے بس لوگ اس قانون کے شکنجے میں مزید جکڑتے جاتے ہیں۔ ہم نے اب ریاست سے انصاف کی امید چھوڑ دی ہے۔ کیونکہ ہم نے ہر ممکن جگہ سے، اسلام آباد، کراچی اور بلوچستان کی سڑکوں سے لے کر عدالتوں کے دروازوں تک انصاف کی درخواست کی مگر ہمیں سوائے مایوسی کے کچھ نہیں ملا۔

ہم اب اپنے دلوں میں بلوچ قوم سے امید رکھتے ہیں اور ہمارے لیے انصاف، اُمید اور یقین صرف بلوچ قوم کی جدوجہد اور عزم سے وابستہ ہیں۔ کیونکہ ہم نے جتنی بار بھی انصاف مانگا وہ ہمیں کبھی نہیں ملا اور جب بھی ہم نے ریاست سے عدلیہ اور سسٹم کی طرف اُمید رکھی ہمیں ہمیشہ مایوسی ہی ملی۔

ہم پھر بھی ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ بلوچ اور ان کے ساتھیوں کی جدوجہد پر فخر کرتی ہیں۔ کیونکہ یہی وہ جدوجہد ہے جس کی بدولت بلوچ قوم کو ایک نئی، طاقتور اور متحرک آواز ملی ہے۔ آج وہ جیل میں ہیں لیکن ان کی جدوجہد نے ہزاروں لوگوں کو متاثر کیا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ اور ان کے ساتھی اب بھی یہ دکھا رہے ہیں کہ بلوچ قوم کی انسانی حقوق کی جنگ کبھی نہیں رکے گی اور جب تک ایک بھی بلوچ کا گھر بنیادی انسانی حقوق سے محروم ہوگا تو ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ بلوچ اور ان کے ساتھی ہر دور میں اس جدوجہد کو جاری رکھیں گے۔

بلوچ معاشرہ اجتماعی جبر کا سامنا کر رہا ہے؛ نوجوانوں کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ کر دیا جاتا ہے اور والدین اس کرب کے ساتھ زندگی گزارتے رہتے ہیں۔ اگر کسی بلوچ پر کوئی جرم ثابت ہو تو قانون کے مطابق اسے عدالتوں اور جیلوں کے زریعے انصاف کے کٹہرے میں لایا جانا چاہیے۔ مگر جبری گمشدگیاں قانون اور انصاف دونوں کی نفی کرتی ہیں۔

یہ صورتحال نہ صرف انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزی ہے بلکہ ایک پورے معاشرے کو مسلسل خوف میں مبتلا کر رہی ہے۔ شعیب سمیت تمام جبری لاپتہ افراد کی فوری بازیابی ناگزیر ہے۔

آج ہم کوئٹہ پریس کلب میں فیملیز کی جانب سے بی وائی سی کے رہنماؤں کے کیسز اور ڈاکٹر ماہرنگ بلوچ کی صحت کے حوالے سے پریس کانفرنس کرنا چاہتے تھے۔ لیکن آج صبح سے ہمیں پریس کلب کے سامنے کھڑا رکھا گیا اور کہا گیا کہ پہلے ڈی سی سے این او سی لے کر آئیں۔

حالانکہ ہمارے سامنے کئی دیگر فیملیز کو پریس کانفرنس کرنے کی اجازت دی گئی۔ جب ہم نے پوچھا کہ اُن سے این او سی کیوں نہیں مانگا جا رہا اور ہم سے کیوں، تو ہمیں جواب دیا گیا کہ “اوپر سے آرڈر ہے” کہ یہاں صرف اُن فیملیز کو پریس کانفرنس کی اجازت ہے جن کے بچے پہاڑوں پر گئے ہیں یا جن کا تعلق منشیات کے کیسز سے ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ مسنگ پرسنز کی فیملیز یا دیگر سیاسی جماعتوں کو اجازت نہیں دی جائے گی۔

مجبوراً ہم نے کوئٹہ پریس کلب کی سیڑھیوں کے سامنے بیٹھ کر اپنی پریس کانفرنس شروع کی۔ اسی دوران پولیس کی بھاری نفری وہاں پہنچ گئی اور صحافیوں کو باہر نکالنے کی کوشش کی گئی تاکہ وہ ہماری پریس کانفرنس کو ریکارڈ نہ کریں۔

بلوچستان میں نااہل حکومت کی وجہ سے حالات اس نہج پر پہنچ چکے ہیں کہ اب بولنے اور سوال کرنے کی بھی اجازت نہیں رہی

Balochistan today stands as a textbook case of colonialism , a land militarized, its people racialized, its resources extracted, and its voices criminalized. What is unfolding is not merely a “law and order” situation; it is the management of a population through force, disappearance, and death.

Across Balochistan, Pakistani security forces continue a policy where Baloch bodies are reduced to objects of control. When human beings are treated as disposable matter, when entire communities are governed through fear, we enter the terrain of necropolitics , the power to decide who may live and who must die. In such a regime, disappearance becomes governance, and death becomes a message.

On 18 February in Karachi, a young Baloch boy, Hamdan, was killed in what authorities labeled an “encounter.” Yet he had been abducted on 29 December, later produced before a court, and was on remand. How does a person in state custody end up dead in an “encounter”? This contradiction exposes the anatomy of enforced disappearance followed by staged killing , what families recognize as fake encounters.

In the last month alone, around forty forcibly disappeared Baloch have been killed in similar staged encounters. Each case follows a familiar pattern: abduction without warrant, silence, denial, and then a body framed as a militant casualty. Due process collapses. Law becomes spectacle.

It has been twenty days that Noshki remains under curfew, effectively transforming civilian life into a tightly controlled zone. Last night in Khuzdar, eighteen members of a single family were taken away by security forces, including an elderly mother and father and two brothers.

Across Balochistan, military operations continue unabated. Homes are being destroyed, personal belongings looted, and entire communities subjected to sweeping repression. Collective punishment has replaced individual accountability, normalizing a regime where whole families and neighborhoods bear the cost of policies imposed at gunpoint.

At the same time, leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee who have consistently raised their voices against enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings , remain imprisoned. Their only “crime” is speaking against these atrocities and mobilizing peaceful resistance. By jailing those who document abuse and demand accountability, the state seeks to expand the space of silence.

This is how colonial governance sustains itself: it disciplines the population through exemplary violence while neutralizing those who articulate dissent. It produces fear to prevent resistance. But history teaches a consistent lesson , when human suffering is intensified to its limits, it generates defiance. When people are denied political voice, they create it through rebellion. When existence itself is criminalized, revolution becomes the language of survival.

Balochistan is not a security problem. It is a political question. And political questions cannot be buried under curfews, disappearances, staged encounters, and imprisoned voices.

Every conscious individual, every ethical institution, every defender of human dignity must stand with the Baloch people. Silence in the face of systemic repression is complicity. The oppressed deserve solidarity. The oppressor must be named and condemned.

A Collective Call for Justice, Accountability, and Resistance

As one year of enforced detention of the leadership of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) approaches, we launch a month-long awareness campaign to expose the continuing repression in Balochistan and to demand justice.

On the completion of one year of the forced imprisonment of BYC leaders including Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Bebagar Baloch, Sibghatullah Shah Ji, Gulzadi, and Beebo Baloch. This campaign will highlight the broader pattern of violence, collective punishment, and systematic silencing of dissent that has intensified since 19 March 2025.

Examining the role of state institutions, sections of the judiciary, media silence, and policies enabling collective punishment, while demanding structural reform and accountability.

Week 4: Targeting of BYC Leadership
One Year of Detention, One Year of Targeting the Baloch Yakjehti Committee
Centering the continued imprisonment of BYC leadership, legal irregularities in their cases, and attempts to dismantle collective resistance through intimidation.

Throughout the month, the campaign will include social media actions, hashtags, art as resistance, webinars, video messages, pamphlets and booklets, symbolic protests, and international solidarity initiatives to present a full and documented picture of ongoing repression.

آج عدالت میں شہید حمدان بلوچ کے کیس کی سماعت ہوئی۔ سی ٹی ڈی کی جانب سے پوسٹ مارٹم رپورٹ جمع کروائی گئی، تاہم لواحقین نے اس یکطرفہ پوسٹ مارٹم کو مسترد کرتے ہوئے مطالبہ کیا کہ ایک غیر جانبدار اور شفاف پوسٹ مارٹم کیا جائے، جو فیملی کی موجودگی میں مکمل ہو، تاکہ یہ حقیقت سامنے آسکے کہ شہید حمدان پر کون کون سے مظالم ڈھائے گئے اور اسے کس بے دردی سے ہم سے چھینا گیا۔

بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کراچی زون شہید حمدان کے خاندان کے ساتھ کھڑی ہے اور انصاف کی اس جدوجہد میں ہر سطح پر ان کی حمایت جاری رکھے گی۔ ہم واضح کرتے ہیں کہ یہ کیس واپس لینے کا نہیں بلکہ سچ کو سامنے لانے کا ہے۔ جب تک انصاف نہیں ملتا، ہماری آواز بلند رہے گی۔

𝙁𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙮 2026 — 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙝 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙛 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙣, 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞

Hamdan, son of Muhammad Ali, a 24-year-old student and resident of Mangopir, Purana Golimar, Karachi, was forcibly disappeared on December 29, 2025. He was taken from Dubi Goth, Golimar, Karachi, by personnel of CTD. After he was taken, his family received no information about his whereabouts.

Weeks after his disappearance, CTD announced that Hamdan was among several individuals killed during an armed encounter in Shah Latif Town, Karachi. Authorities stated that the deceased were militants who died during an exchange of fire. However, Hamdan had already been in custody since December 2025, which raises serious concerns about the authenticity of this encounter. This pattern has surfaced repeatedly in Balochistan and Karachi, where young men are first taken into custody and later declared killed in security operations. Such cases point toward extrajudicial executions and fake encounters which are carried out under the cover of counterterrorism actions.

Hamdan was a student. His disappearance followed by his death in a claimed encounter reflects a continuing pattern in which individuals are removed from legal protection and later presented as casualties of armed confrontations. If an individual already in custody is later shown as killed in a gun battle, it constitutes a serious violation of the right to life, due process, and protection from arbitrary detention under international human rights law, including Articles 6 and 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).

We urged international organisations that Balochistan needs your attention on an urgent basis where youth are being targeted, mutilated bodies are being dumped with torture and extrajudicially killed in fake encounters by CTD, State-Backed Death Squad, and the State Army.
