"And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful]."
(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 188).

"[Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew."
(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 184)
In the realm of economics, scarcity is king, ruling over all with an iron fist. But in the land of politics, promises are the currency, and they flow like water.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:
اَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَا لْاَ رْضِ ۗ وَمَا لَـکُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا نَصِيْرٍ
"Do you not know that to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and [that] you have not besides Allah any protector or any helper?"
(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 107).
In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful. It is you we worship and you we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path - the path of those upon whom you have bestowed favour, not of those who have evoked your anger or of those who are astray. Aameen!
Some studies suggest that intermittent fasting, which is similar to the fasting pattern during Ramadan, can induce autophagy in various tissues and organs. For example, a 2016 study published in the journal Autophagy found that intermittent fasting can stimulate autophagy in the liver, resulting in improved metabolic function and reduced inflammation.
Ramadan Mubarak! Let's embrace the spirit of this blessed month with love, kindness, and spiritual growth. As Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven."
As Muslims around the world prepare to observe the holy month of Ramadhan, it is essential to remember the plight of those in Gaza, who are facing a humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing conflict and blockade and work towards a peaceful resolution to alleviate their suffering.
