No field is a dead field in any era - it boils down to the individuals ability to create value out of their skillsets & what they want out of it.

Neither Liberal Arts or Engineering will give anyone any edge until they can do both execute & think.

It is a myth that you need to be an engineer to succeed in India.

Deepinder Goyal studied math.

Kunal Shah studied philosophy.

Radhika Merchant majored in Political Science.

Ghazal Alagh did a BCA and then pursued her penchant for art.

Ankur Warikoo is a physicist.

Meanwhile, what about the engineers?

Byju Raveendran is bankrupt and avoiding jail.

Ashneer Grover was ousted by his board.

Rahul Yadav (IIT dropout) is a non-entity.

Vineeta Singh is far far away from IPO.

Engineering is a dead field in the AI era.

A Liberal Arts education gives you an ethical orientation and a 10x disruptive mindset. Engineers build while liberal artists ideate on the big picture.

Btw the definition of liberal arts includes science and math. Look it up before you @ me.

@whysosuso Having studied in a school with 80 students in a classroom and then one with 15, a major difference is that higher number of classmates means students have smaller groups but student with lesser classmates will be more open and social, but its is still a person dependent variable
