Thank you @jngarivhume for calling this out but as we know there is no respect for rule of law in #Zimbabwe. We all know from past experience that this criminal will not be arrested, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced to a term of imprisonment.

There is one set of laws for the generality of the population but they don’t apply to the ruling elite of Zanu PF and those they choose to protect.

We need to understand that there are economic consequences for disregarding the rule of law. If there is no certainty in our justice system we will never attract good investors. Good investors, more than anything else, need the security of knowing that their investments are safe, that contracts will be honoured, that disputes will be adjudicated on by independent, professional courts and that criminals who undermine their business will be brought to justice.

So the failure by the @PoliceZimbabwe to prosecute a common cell phone thief in a high profile case, solely because he is relatively high ranking member of Zanu PF, doesn’t just mean that @DougColtart receives no justice, but is deeply damaging to our national image and interests.
